Mobile DLog is a mapping system that uses GPS to collect feature coordinates in a GIS digitizing process. This is a process through which georeferenced objects are created and described (attributed) as either point, line or area objects. If you have ever used or seen someone else use a digitizing table to trace map features and add them to a GIS, you will understand that with Pocket DLog, the world is your digitizing table, the area of the landscape on which you are moving is your map and you, with your palm-sized pc and GPS equipment are the digitizer puck.
