Dr Tony Proffitt
Tony started his professional career in agriculture during the early 1980s and has since worked in management, research and consulting capacities for Government agricultural organisations, major wine companies and a vineyard management and consulting company where he is currently employed.
He also lectures in Viticulture at curtin University of Technology. Tony has been involved in the use of Precision Viticulture technologies and their application in the vineyard for 11 years and has used and helped extend the technology in a number of wine-producing regions in both South Australia and Western Australia.

He has presented practical outcomes in the use of the technology at conferences and workshops and contributed articles in popular industry journals

Michael Wells

Michael Wells
Michael has worked in the agriculture services industry for over 25 years. He began work in precision agriculture in 1997 and over the last 4 years his work has been entirely focused in this area. He has experience in the acquisition, processing and most importantly analysis of spatial information for precision viticulture including EM38, topography. airborne remote sensing and yield data. Michael specializes in the use of Delta Data Systems software including Agis, Viewpoint and PDA applications of DLog for vineyard field work. Michael also has extensive experience in applying precision agriculture strategies and implementation in the Australian Grains Industry.
